I am the only person I know who uses an ‘old’ digital camera. I remember once when I went to a wedding, everybody whipped out their Sony Cybershots, and there I was holding on to my old digital camera. Sony Cybershots are slim, slick and sexy, mine looks like a pineapple compared to the Sony.
It only takes photos of 3.2 mega pixels, has a 3x optical zoom. You had to set the exposure manually, and it has an underpowered flash. The only good thing about it is, the Leica lens. But I’m not convince that it matters on a digital camera. A 20 year old SLR Contax with Carl Zeiss lenses is a treasure, a 4 year old Panasonic digital camera is a paper weight. You couldn’t even submit your photo to a stock photo directory, most of them only accept photos with a minimum of 5 mega pixels.
Let me show you a photo I took with this camera a few days ago. The evening light was beautiful, and I just grabbed my camera and went for a walk, hoping to get some photos.
One of the must bring item whenever you travel should be your digital camera. So what if it makes you look like a tourist, going around and photographing everything in sight. I do that all time, only now that I have a daughter, I have to include a DVD camera. I don’t want to miss a thing, especially when my angelic girl is around.

Nah I used the Panasonic Lumix, the one that takes 3.2 megapixels. The photo itself is untouched. It was only after I viewed the photo on my laptop that I saw the cables in the top left hand corner. Argggh!
