G-Mart Store in Inanam celebrated its 1st Anniversary today. Like most celebrations in Sabah, it kicks off with the Lion Dance. G-Mart Inanam has lined up activities for its customers from morning until night, and these activities are spread over 3 days, 25th to 27th June 2010.
Today’s activities are Hot-Dog eating contest to be held at 2.15pm this afternoon. They will use the premium hot-dogs from Nutriplus, a leading Malaysian brand of poultry, hot-dogs, nuggets and eggs. Throughout the afternoon, there will be a dance competition, as well as DJ music. Also look out for local performers from Sipitang and Papar. These two young ladies are good enough for Akademi Fantasia.
Lion Dance and Cake Cutting
This morning started off with the Lion Dance, always a welcomed sound when you hear their drums and gongs. After that, a simple ribbon cutting ceremony by the Operations Manager (who functions as a regional manager) and the Store Manager. Followed by cake cutting, and DJ music. Working in retail, it is always fun to celebrate whenever we can. It is a nice break from the routine work and offers some entertaining performances for our staff and our customers.

Activities for tomorrow will be a traditional dance performance, and an egg-eating contest, again sponsored by Nutriplus, through their local distributor. In the afternoon, Dance performance by Body Care, a local dance group featuring 3 lovely ladies and 1 guy. Evening activities include Karaoke singing contest, with some nice prizes for the winners.

Activities for Sunday will again feature more dance and singing performances throughout the day and into the evening. There will be a Ice-Cream eating contest at 2.30pm, sponsored by Kings Ice-cream, a well-known and popular Malaysia brand. Andy Lau who runs their operations in Sabah has always worked closely with us whenever there is an event. It always fun and entertaining working together with him.
