Anyway my Borneo trip will be next year, perhaps June. I made last year all western Malaysia in June - I made that trip alone and all around with negotiated taxis! - and was delighted about this wonderful country (except Alor Star and Kota Baru I have seen all areas in West Malaysia, so beautiful nature, so friendly and helpful people, so impressed about the mix of the 3 cultures in this country).A very short scheme of this the next Borneo trip would be: arrival in Kuala Lumpur,flight next day to Brunei for about 4 -5 days, then flight to Kota Kinabalu, getting accommodated in KK area for about 5 days, then Sandakan by car for 2 -3 days, maybe possibility of a trip on Kinabatangan river, then from Sandakan to Lahad Datu for one day at least(why to miss the landscape :)?)then continuing by car to Tawau, other 2 days, maybe visiting also a day trip to Sempona which is at about 90 km away, then flight back to KK from there flight to Kuching, other 7 - 8 days in the area, then flight to KLumpur and home. But this is only a very superficial draft. There is a lot to check in the internet, flights, accommodations, interesting things (only around KK are so many things.My interest in Borneo are culture, ethnic groups, life in long houses, traditional music and dances of different groups, nature, wildlife, the cultural mix of Islamic, Chinese, Indian and indigenous people, visiting temples, mosques and all such things. Right now don't know if one or 2 persons will travel. It's long time to arrange everything ahead.Anyway I will keep in touch with you for all kind of information I need about Sabah. Thanks!
