Cool City Milky Tea

I came across this cool little outlet in 1 Borneo, Kota Kinabalu. Milky Tea or Pearl Milky Tea has proven to be very popular in Sabah. In recent times, many outlets selling milky pearl tea has come and gone, while Cool City has grown from a Bistro in Indah Permai, Sepangar Bay to outlets in popular shopping malls in Kota Kinabalu city.

I like Pearl Milky Tea, it’s fun to drink. Although when I let my daughter try it, she had trouble with the pearls. She didn’t know what those things were. But I expect as she grows older, she will enjoy it.  If you haven’t tried this, well you should. Just for the experience if nothing else.

This Cool City outlet in 1 Borneo is located at the 2nd floor, just outside the Japanese concept store, Daiso. If you see a pretty Chinese girl at the outlet, that is the person who makes sure the food and drinks are up to standard. She runs all the outlets in Kota Kinabalu. Sorry, guys, I couldn’t get her photo.

Cool City also has an outlet on the concourse of 1 Borneo. It is opposite Toys R Us. They have a drink called the Frappucino, which basically is a smoothie with ice cream on top. Mouthwatering Mocha Caramel, Cappucino Caramel or Chocolate Cocoa. You can also have Honey Dew, Mango, Blueberry, Milo, Green Apple, Strawberry or Yam.

Try their Smoothies, and any iced fruit drinks, or their soft ice cream. Desserts are my favorite food, that’s why I frequent Cool City. Besides, the owners are friendly and care about their business. If you’re a visitor to Sabah, you need the H2O. In addition to drinks, they also serve a variety of tit-bits and snacks, depending on which outlet you visit. They also have an outlet located on the ground floor of Warisan Plaza. These are modern, stylish and trendy establishments.

Pearl Milky Tea
Pearl Milky Tea originated from Taiwan and quickly became popular all over Asia. the pearls refer to the black gummy balls made of tapioca, around 1cm in size. They come in many flavors, usually added to black tea or green tea and shaken in a cocktail shaker with ice until chilled. Sometimes called Bubble Tea. Also available with coffee, and other fruit flavors such as green apple, honeydew, mango and lots more.
